As the part-time Research Contracts Manager for CureHeart, my role is to support the research agreements required for the CureHeart Project. My focus will be to work closely with the CureHeart team and the administration and support teams in the Department of Cardiovascular Medicine and the Radcliffe Department of Medicine in order to support CureHeart’s ground-breaking research in collaboration with international universities, research institutions and business partners. I will be responsible for managing the portfolio of research contracts related to CureHeart, advising on contractual matters bearing in mind the framework agreement signed with our funder, the British Heart Foundation, and developments as the project progresses. I will also prioritise building good working relationships with the other consortium partners and funders.
I have over 15 years experience working as a research support specialist at the University of Oxford. Before moving to Oxford, I worked in research support roles with the Education Development Trust in Reading and with the Research, Business and Innovation team at UWE Bristol. My early career included working as a health care assistant for people with profound and multiple learning difficulties in Picardy, France and undertaking my learning disability nurse training at UWE Bristol before graduating with a BSc in Health and Social Care with the Open University.
