Anuj studied MBBS at King George’s Medical University, India (1996-2001) and MSc Bioinformatics at Cranfield University, UK (2003-2004). After post-doc in Imperial College London and University of Oxford, he became Principal Investigator in 2022 and Associate Professor in 2023.
Goel’s group research interests have focused on using existing tools to conduct genome wide association analysis, devise ways to handle large datasets, build databases and develop display tools to make the results easily accessible to collaborators. His group is interested in leveraging genetic and other omic datasets to provide insights in cardiovascular disease pathogenesis. He is also currently involved in next generation sequence data analysis to discover susceptibility genes for cardiovascular disease.
