Background and research interests:
Ali is a multi-disciplinary researcher, with a background in social science and genomic counselling. She works with Principal Investigator, Liz Ormondroyd to investigate perspectives and experiences of people impacted by cardiomyopathy and to identify patient-valued outcomes of genetic therapies. Ali is also an experienced patient advocate and PPI facilitator and has previous experience working as a postdoctoral researcher investigating perspectives on personalised medicine.
Ali holds a DPhil from Nuffield College, University of Oxford and an MSc in Genetic and Genomic Counselling from Cardiff University. She is a member of the Association of Genetic Nurses and Counsellors.
