Betty Raman is a Wellcome Career Development Award recipient, cardiologist specializing in imaging and inherited heart diseases, and an Associate Professor of Cardiovascular Medicine, serving as the principal investigator in RDM. Her research focuses on utilising advanced non-invasive measures of disease activity through cardiovascular magnetic resonance (CMR) and other clinical tools to risk stratify patients with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) genes. She aims to enhance the prediction of disease progression, identifying suitable candidates for gene and molecular therapies.
