Hiroko Wakimoto

Hiroko is a pediatric cardiologist by training, graduated from Tokyo Medical and Dental University in Japan. Her research focuses on understanding genetic pathway of cardiac development and molecular pathogenesis of genetic cardiovascular diseases, and establishing the novel therapeutic strategies in human genetic cardiovascular diseases. Hiroko has been well experienced in multiple murine phenotypic assessment methods such as echocardiogram and in vivo cardiac electrophysiology studies on genetically manipulated mouse models, next generation gene expression analysis and transcripts / proteins expression by histological approaches.
