First CureHeart psychosocial study published in European Journal of Human Genetics

A new psychosocial study by the CureHeart Team lead by Associate Professor Liz Ormondroyd has demonstrated significant positive support from cardiomyopathy patients and family members towards the development of genetic therapies to treat and cure the condition. Over 93% of the 634 surveyed said they think that genetic therapies should be developed, and the majority also stated their willingness to participate in a genetic therapy trial in the future. This ground swell of support will prove invaluable in clinical trials of any new genetic therapies currently in discovery phase testing by CureHeart researchers.
