Members of the UK-based CureHeart team hosted a stand at the Cardiomyopathy UK Annual Conference 2023 in London last weekend.
CureHeart researcher James Ware, Professor of Cardiovascular and Genomic Medicine at the National Heart & Lung Institute, Imperial College, London, also gave a short presentation of the science underlying the project's aims.
The team found it invaluable to listen to patients' experiences of living with cardiomyopathy, and were pleased to answer any questions they had about genetic therapies. The team highlighted to delegates that the CureHeart:Patient Perspectives of Cardiomyopathy Study will shortly be launched. If you would like to be notified when the study is live, please visit the following link: www.cardiomyopathy.org/cureheart-updates.
Many thanks to Cardiomyopathy UK, who were excellent hosts, and to the patients who were so generous in sharing their experiences. We hope to be back next year with updates on the progress of our research.
